The purpose of social rehabilitation – to provide socialization of the individual and to restore it to its previous level, and we are talking about an integrated approach: the restoration of health, social status, legal status, moral and psychological balance, self-confidence.

One component of the socio-psychological rehabilitation of servicemen – combatants is retrained for new skills or training, allowing to be more effective in civilian life and contribute to employment and in general the active involvement of military personnel in the system of social relations.

In 2014, the Resource Center “MAIBUTTIA” implemented the OSCE project “Assistance in the social adaptation of discharged military personnel”. The team of Maibuttia organized and conducted four trainings on social protection and psychological rehabilitation of military servicemen in four military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine which are located in Mykolaiv region. The officers, who had been relocated from Crimea and those who had participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, took part in these trainings. During these trainings, many psychological rehabilitation methods have been used.
